I first purchased this tape after my second baby was born and I was having a problem getting back into shape even with regular Jazzercise workouts. That baby is driving now!! and I still pull this tape out of the box when I want to work hard, sweat and still feel like a dancer.
All these years later, I still think the choreography in this workout is outstanding. It is creative and fun and I get a great lower body workout and burn. 16 years ago when I did this tape I challenged myself to keep up with the high impact, “hard core” exercisers on the left side of the screen. Now that I am a bit older and recovering from some health issues I appreciate the low impact folks on the right side! And Kari of course gives clear instructions for both. I look forward to building up my fitness level to (almost) what it was when I got the tape.

This video came out in 1994, I didn’t buy it till 2007. I think it’s the BEST step video, and probably the best of all aerobic workouts, that I own. It really stands the test of time, as you can tell from people leaving postive reviews for this video for several years now. I’m high-intermediate to advanced but when it comes to step, I don’t like to learn complex choreogrpahy because that just wastes precious workout time. This one was easy to learn, it’s fun and enjoyable, yet still challanges me, because Kari demonstrates different advanced options during every combo. Just choose all the advanced moves if you need more challange. Choose all the easier moves if you are still learning or need to take it easy. Kari is my favorite instructor, definitely my favorite step instructor. She’s so much fun! I wish this would come out on DVD! Kari’s Go! is perfect for learning basic moves, then follow it up with this one and prepare to have FUN!

This is the only video I have by Kari Anderson, who is known for complex choreography which is not my cup of tea. This is a great video for those like me who like simple choreography, this workout is a lot of fun. Kari is an excellent instructor and I am glad that she made this video. She is very graceful and a joy to watch, her cuing is right on too.
Kari is joined by 10 others, one side of the room with more advanced level exercisers, the other side with less advanced though there are a variety of step heights being used. She starts off with a warmup then you move into a simple but fun step routine. The choreography and her cuing makes it easy to catch on right away. You will see basic steps, knee lifts, repeaters, hamstring curls, turn steps, V steps, rear leg lifts, straddles, and over the tops etc. Kari gives you a lot of options to up the intensity if you choose to do so. There is also a heartrate check to measure how hard you are working.
After the step work you will cool down for a short abs and back routine, then move into the final stretch. There is also a motivational, pep talk segment by Kari for those who might need a little extra motivation some days.
This is an excellent video, and a good one for those who want to try Kari’s videos but stay away from complex routines. Highly recommended.

This is a beginning-mid? step video. Moves are easy to learn. At first, I wasn’t used to Kari Anderson’s style so I was a little put off by the ugly outfits and the cheesy music, but after doing the step video a number of times, I realized how well planned the video is. It’s a great exercise for all your problem areas.
Ab section is a killer. But wonderfully painful

Kari Anderson has her act together. This lady is full of energy, but not the slightest bit annoying. The music is funky and original, and I’ve occasionally caught myself humming the tune later in the day. (without feeling like a dork!)
Her step routine is basic enough to easily be followed, but is easily upgraded to difficult with the alternate moves. She is a great teacher, and I’d highly recommend this video.
